Gambito de Dama (The Queen’s Gambit) está siendo una de las sensaciones televisivas de la temporada. La miniserie original de Netflix, que se basa en la novela del mismo nombre de Walter Tevis, cuenta la historia de Beth Harmon (Anya Taylor-Joy), que es abandonada de pequeña en un orfanato.
Poco después, Beth descubre su talento para el ajedrez al mismo tiempo que se vuelve adicta a los tranquilizantes que el Estado receta para jóvenes como ella.
La serie está dirigida por Scott Frank, nominado dos veces al Óscar por Logan (2017) y Un romance muy peligroso (1998). Frank también se encarga del guion.
Gambito de Dama cuenta con una estupenda banda sonora original, así que vamos a repasarla.

El compositor ganador de varios Emmys, Carlos Rafael Rivera, es el encargado de la banda sonora original de Gambito de Dama, y construye una ambientación genial para la historia de Beth.
Además, la miniserie de Netflix incluye canciones de terceros y muy variadas. Hay cosas más clásicas como Erik Satie o Shostakovick, pero también temas más «modernos» de artistas como The Kinks o The Monkees.
