Para ello, han desarrollado la idea de “Classics follow nothing”, identificándola con la chica del anuncio, que pese a ver continuamente nuevas modas mientras viaja en el metro londinense, en forma la mayoría de vistosas indumentarias, ella se mantiene fiel a su estilo, único y propio, y se encamina, por supuesto, a tomarse una buena copa de ginebra Beefeater, sin seguir ni fijarse en nadie. La campaña ha sido creada por la agencia McCann, en la que nos dicen que al final “ser un clásico es mucho más que ser fiel a uno mismo”, basándose en la idea de la autenticidad, “Así es Londres. Así es Beefeater”. Beefeater tiene más de 200 años de historia y no pasará nunca de moda, al igual que el tema que escuchamos durante todo el anuncio, una cover del legendario “One Way Or Another” de Blondie.
La versión que suena se trata de una actualización del tema original, que cuenta exactamente con el mismo ritmo aunque con distinta cantante, suena algo más “actual”. Se trata de una versión realizada de forma original para el anuncio y no hemos podido encontrar más información sobre ella, puesto que no está disponible en ninguna plataforma digital. Únicamente sabemos el nombre del compositor, DOLCE.
“One Way Or Another” de Blondie
El tema original pertenece al tercer álbum de estudio de la banda estadounidense Blondie, Paralallel Lines, publicado en 1978, es decir, que cumple la friolera de 45 años, como la constitución española. A ese mismo disco pertenecen otros hits del grupo como “Hanging on the Telephone”, “Sunday Girl” o especialmente “Heart of Glass”. Sin duda fue uno de los discos fundadores de lo que luego se vino a llamr new wave, evolucionando desde el punk y rock de los 70. Así suena:
