Qué significa “CMFT Must Be Stopped”, la nueva canción rapera y macarra de Corey Taylor

Corey Taylor publicó CMFT, su primer disco en solitario, el 2 de octubre de 2020 vía Roadrunner Records. El también cantante de Slipknot y Stone Sour estrenó dos canciones para ir abriendo boca: “CMFT Must Be Stopped” y “Black Eyes Blue”.

En este artículo nos centraremos en la letra de “CMFT Must Be Stopped” y en esas siglas que están despertando curiosidad y que también dan nombre al álbum.

Corey MotherFu**ing Taylor

Si eres seguidor de Slipknot, es posible que ya sepas que Corey Taylor tiene varios apodos: “Neck” (“Cuello”), “Great Big Mouth” (“La gran boca grande”), “#8” (todos los miembros de Slipknot tienen un número; Corey eligió el 8 porque simboliza el infinito), incluso “The Boogie Knight” (esto es de un posible disco dance que en teoría tiene ganas de publicar).

Además de todos esos sobrenombres, Corey Taylor también tiene otro que es CMFT, que quiere decir Corey MotherFu***ng Taylor, que en español sería algo así como “el j**ido Corey Taylor”.

Y así es como se llamará su disco debut en solitario, y el single de adelanto “CMFT Must Be Stopped” (“El jo**do Corey Taylor debe ser detenido”).

CMFT CAN’T BE STOPPED (X4)

¿Qué dice en la letra?

Además de insistir en el estribillo que no necesita nada y que repitamos su nombre, Corey también habla de otras cosas en el resto de versos.

Por ejemplo, dice que “el dinero está bien y todo eso”, pero que no produce más que “decepciones”, o deja claro que nadie le ayudó cuando lo necesitó, aunque no sepamos a qué se refiera exactamente.

La colaboración del rapero Kid Bookie deja algún fragmento interesante, como que “hoy en día a todos nos llaman haters” y se refiere a “lo que la gente llama música me aburre”, que parece una crítica a las listas de éxitos de música actuales.

Por otro lado, la intervención del también rapero Tech N9ne es más una metralleta de versos con aire chulesco sin un nexo aparente.

En resumen: la letra es una sobrada en la que Corey se desahoga diciendo lo que le apetece, al igual que Kid Bookie y Tech N9ne, aunque sin un trasfondo más que ese, cantar lo que quieren porque quieren.
