Siempre el mismo día (2024) está dirigida por Molly Manners (directora de In My Skin) y se basa en la novela del mismo nombre de David Nicholls publicada en 2009 y que puedes comprar en Amazon. Ya hubo una adaptación cinematográfica homónima de 2011 con Anne Hathaway y Jim Sturgess.

La banda sonora original de la serie ha sido compuesta por Anne Nikitin en colaboración con Jessica Jones y Tim Morrish. Como parte del álbum original, se incluyen cuatro nuevas versiones de temas de Vanbur para la serie. ¿Quién ha compuesto la banda sonora original de Siempre el mismo día?
Anne Nikitin es una compositora canadiense conocida por su trabajo en la película El impostor (2012) o Calibre (2018). Ha realizado la banda sonora junto a Jessica Jones, ganadora de un BAFTA por Jimmy Savile: Una historia británica de terror (2022) y un Emmi por El timador de Tinder (2022). Junto a ellas también está acreditado Tim Morrish, conocido por las series Red Rose (2022) o Brassic (2019).

Por otro lado, en varias ocasiones durante la serie escuchamos a Vanbur, que ha realizado versiones de varios temas para la serie. Nos quedamos con el tema final de la serie, “In Cold Light”:

Tema perteneciente a 69 Love Songs (1999). De nuevo, la bonita letra hace referencia a la historia de amor entre Em y Dex:

Por último, en el decimotercer capítulo escuchamos otro emotivo tema de amor, “Satellite of Love” de Lou Reed:
Uno de los temas más famosos del estadounidense, perteneciente a Transformer (1972). Lo escuchamos mientras Dex deja mensajes de voz a Em, recordándola su aniversario.
